The Bible, as we hold it today, is esteemed by many religious institutions and especially Conservative Christians to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God. While no other text can claim this same unique authority, Apocryphal and Pseudepigraphal literature such as contained in this volume of The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts (Volume One The Apocrypha: Includes the Books of Enoch, Jasher, and Jubilees), provides literature that often precedes or follows the chronology of biblical texts, which frequently are used or assigned as supplemental works within academic settings to help students and scholars discover or better understand cultural and historical context within the Word of God. Whether or not the information contained in the apocryphal literature is entirely precise as is the canon of Scripture these ancient texts provide commentators valuable insight into what many ancient Jews and early Christians believed when, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets (Heb. 1:1). The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts is therefore intended to be a supplemental resource for assisting serious researchers and students in the study of the Bible and Bible times.     I haven't read all of this book yet... but so far it has given me extra insight and history into the Bible. Many stories contain more details... it makes me wonder why these books never made it into the Bible. Reading the book of Enoch makes me wonder about the times we're living in. The way it explains the Watchers is very interesting... I would recommend it to people interested in understanding more about current UFO events... The New Testament scripture "as in the days of Noah so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man"... makes more sense now. This book is great as a companion to studying the Holy Bible. I highly recommend it.

    Been wanting these books for years & this book has them all in one. I appreciate the type size & like the heavy bigness of the book. My only disappointment is that the book doesn't use the true names of Yahweh & Yeshuah, as translated directly from Hebrew & Aramaic into English. It chose to use the Latin names, which refer to other false gods and I hate that otherwise discerning Christians still do this. So far, checking this book, it seems like an accurate copy and not a condensed or paraphrased copy of the lost books that reveal so very much to us. This is a must have book in one's library, imo. Highly recommend as a gift for the person who seems to have everything or anyone who loves to research & study & seek truths. Thank you for the price! This senior has very little left after bills, so getting this affordably meant the world to me.

    Volume One of The Researchers Library of Ancient Texts arrived yesterday, ahead of schedule. The print is of a comfortable size, easy to read, and the book stays flat when the pages are turned. I heard a radio interview by the man who owns the publishing company. He stated that he had carefully chosen the finest texts which did not have extraneous insertions which were not credible. This is a very interesting book for lovers of the Bible and lovers of history, bearing in mind that these ancient texts are not in the canon of Scripture of the King James Version of the Bible and are not equal to the Biblical texts. Read as history, they are fascinating. I am so glad I ordered this book.
