If Christ Has Not Risen, Then We Are To Be Pitied.

Our faith, salvation and eternity all hinge on the resurrection of Christ. The resurrection is the catalyst. Some may call themselves Christians and yet deny that Christ has risen, but they call themselves Christians in vain. If Christ be not risen, then we are still in our sins and we are a people to be pitied among men and there is absolutely no hope.

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1 Corinthians 15:17-20 KJV

Here is the good news. Christ has risen! Our great father in heaven raised his precious Son, our Saviour Jesus, from the dead and was seen not only by the Apostles, but by over five hundred brethren at once according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:6).

Therefore, since Christ has defeated death, we too shall not remain in the grave, we too shall be raised on the last day and forever be with the Lord. This is our blessed hope and without it we have nothing.

This old world is passing away and so are we. However, for those of us who have believed on the name of Jesus and believe God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved and have nothing to fear. Not even death itself, for death has been defeated and the tomb is empty.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 KJV
