I was reading from the writings of the early church fathers and I came across one of them talking about the rapture (Tertullian 207AD: Against Marcion 6.16), and quoting from the book of Isaiah. I found it interesting….
“Isaiah 60:8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows”? | King James Version (KJV)

I’m trying to find a comment by James Ryle on Isaiah 60:8, in which he saw a vision of a dark cloud rising and falling in the distance, and after a moment he realized the cloud was an immense flock of doves, rising and falling together and getting closer to him as they flew. I thought it may be in his book “Hippo in the Garden”, but maybe not.
I’m trying to understand the meaning of this flock of doves flying together.
