We are living in a strange time, but we must be reminded there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9) What we are dealing with today as it pertains to human wickedness and ungodliness is not much different from what the early church was facing amongst the Roman’s. However, what I find most alarming is not just the perverse and godless behaviors, although I am troubled by it, but by those who call themselves Christian and yet sit on the sideline applauding this behavior.
I recently read and article that really spoke to this issue very well and I wanted to share it with all of you this morning.

Romans 1:18-32 is a very sobering passage. The NIV Bible titles it “God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity.” The verses list an abundance of sins that provoke God’s anger. The list includes everything from sexual impurity and idolatry to arrogance and hatred. The stern passage concludes with this warning, “Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32; emphasis added).
